Dear all,

Recently I've bought a Wireless Keyboard to work with my MacBook 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. First of all I'm new in Mac Platform. The wireless keyboard which I purchased is also  Apple Brand.

My problem is the lower part of the alphabet zxc..( Whole row) is not responding with the left command button. It did not experience any accident and also tried with changing batteries, connecting with another computer, but it doesn't  work. Does anyone have solutions to recover my problem. Please help me. Thanks.

Hi Mahafuh,

As you mentioned you have purchased a new wireless Keyboard and it's not working with your MacBook properly and you're new to Mac Operating system. Could you please follow the mentioned steps.

_PRAM RESET

Shut down your MacBook; then indicate the Command, Option, P, and R.  You will need to hold these Keys down simultaneously. Now Turn On your MacBook; then press and hold the Command-Option (P, R ) keys. You must press the key before a gray screen appears.  Hold the Keys down until your MacBook restarts and you'll here the startup sound.  Now release the keys.

I think if you follow the above steps, your keyboard will be ok. Cheers.

Dear Bappy,

Thanks. I've followed your instructions and now it's working. One of my colleagues informed me that, I have to update my OS, otherwise I might  face more difficulties in future. Is that right ? What you think? Thanks.

Dear Mahfuh,

Excellent !! now you can work with your Wireless Keyboard.  You mentioned that, one of your colleagues informed you to update your Mac OS. Yes, he's right.  You have to update your Mac OS regularly, because Mac OS requires updates.  Suppose you are now using Wireless keyboard and your OS is not updated, you might  face complications in using the keyboard in future. Cheers.

Dear Mahafuh,

Could you please try with this solution. Hope this will help you.

Choose Apple; then go to System preferences and click on Accounts.

Now open Accounts preferences; click the lock and type administrative name and password;  Select a type of account from the New Account pop up menu;  then Enter  a name for the account and type your password and verify fields and then type a hint to remember the password.  If you have trouble to log in click Create Account. Take care.
