Hello Techyv,

Well, someone advise me that can I use the photoshopCS2 directly in Ubuntu 9.04. I’d used a standard version of wine and tried install PhotoShop CS2. When I launched the executable file in wine it blocked the PhotoShop and state that it is not marked as executable. Did I forget something in executing photoshop? I need help…please! Thanks…

Hello Dandan,

You have to know that ubuntu and other Linux distributions do not allow the installation of applications by simply executing the .exe files. If you need to install PhotoShop then you will need to access the terminal and use the command prompt to install it.

Most applications that have to be installed on ubuntu and the other Linux distributions come with manuals that are meant to guide through the installation process, and therefore you will need to look for that manual and then setup too online and download them.

Hope this helps.
