Hi! I am having a problem with my computer. Whenever I try to switch on my computer, it automatically shuts down on its own. I even tried to turn it on through the Safe Mode but the same thing happens. Can you please tell me what would be the problem and teach me how could I fix it? Thank you.

Hello, User

It’s not a big problem. And I am hoping that you can solve this problem alone if you flow my instructions. This type of problem can be caused for the power switch or for your power Supply, If either one of this happens then you should change your computer casing.

But if this not solve your problem then it’s certainly true that you are facing a massive virus attack. Then you should reinstall your Operating System Or you can try any bootable antivirus. But sometime this type of problem can be caused for Motherboard but this happens in a rare case. Hope now you will be able to solve this kind of problem.

If you are not seeing any blue screen before your computer shuts down or any error that can be associated with its shutting down automatically, the problem might be inside the CPU. The processor’s cooling fan might already be faulty. Open your CPU case and then observe if the processor’s cooling fan is still spinning normally. Observe if it will not slow down or will suddenly stop. If you see any sign of sudden slowness, the fan might need to be replaced.

A processor heats up easily. The moment you turn on your computer, the processor heats up fast. If its temperature reaches its peak level, it will just shutdown automatically. You will not be able to turn it on again for a couple of seconds, it is temporarily disabled. The processor needs to cool down first before the CPU can be turned on again.

So, in order to avoid this scenario, a heat zinc is usually placed above the processor to absorb all the heat coming from it. But a heat zinc is not enough to maintain the processor’s temperature that’s why another device is attached, the cooling fan. It is placed just right on-top of it to circulate the cool air inside the CPU and blow it on top of the heat zinc. This way, the processor’s temperature is maintained.

Hello Derona,

Have checked to ensure that your battery is in good condition? Otherwise its lifespan could be over and therefore you will need to replace it.

Another thing that you should do is check to ensure that the hard drive is fixed properly, it is not loose or no cables have been disconnected. It is the drive that has the operating system and therefore loose cables or disconnected cables might cause such a problem.

Also check to ensure that the fan is working properly. Because it the fan has failed the processor will overheat and force the system to shut down for it to cool down.
