Hi there,

I have a photo editing software (Serif PhotoPlus) running on Windows 8.1, I was using the software to edit captions for my 2000 photos captured for a project, then store them in my Pictures folder on my computer. This morning I found all the captions have been re-edited to one common single photo caption, what could have caused such mishap? How can I undo this because it took me one month to finish the editing?

Hi Gabriel,

It means that all the pictures created is read-only files. Meaning to say it will turn back to its original settings. You can change the attributes of each file by selecting the folder. Then right-click and select properties. On the attributes section uncheck the box of Read-only then click apply then ok. Try to rename all the files again then check if the error still occurs restart your computer.
