Windows Media Player: Please wait while Windows Configures Document Viewer

Hi everyone. I get multiple errors when using Windows Media Player. I had my system run on Windows XP. Here’s my problem: when I tried to open a video file (.avi) using Windows media player an unexpected error occurs. The error message appears stating:
"Please wait while Windows configures Document Viewer".

I closed that but another error occurs. It says "The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not available. Insert the Document Viewer disk and click OK". I closed that also since I don’t have the disk the message is referring to. Surprisingly, another one pops up, an error saying, “"Error 1706 No valid source could be found for product Document Viewer. Installer cannot continue." I closed that also. After that every thing starts again. The first error, the second, and the third one.
It’s so hassle since I have to close all of them in order to watch the video I loaded. Please give me some advice on what to do with this one. Thanks in advance.

Actually it is a basic error message while you are using windows media player as a way to play your video. This error is seems to similar with Error 1706. No valid source could be found for product <product name>

Probably a few of the links mention turning on the MSI installer log file, try that at first.

Or it can be happened if you had missed something while registering the software. i mean registry errors. I suggest you to use registry clean tools. Go to this site for instances.

It's only my user view that, windows media player is not a perfect aid to play video. I suggest you to use KM or VLC player.
