Hi there friends,

I am having problems with Windows Mail. It stopped working today and gave the following error:

“Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'pop-server.nyc.rr.com', Server: 'pop-server.nyc.rr.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure (SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F”

I do not know what this means or how I can resolve this. Please help me understand this so that this does not happen again. Please also provide a solution to this issue.

Thanks a lot.

Windows Mail server unexpectedly terminated the connection

Just make a few changes, not only incoming changes but some outgoing changes too.

Go to your e-mail Program.

 > Tools.

 > Accounts.

 > Your bizmail account.

 > Properties(and).

 > Servers.

So under Outgoing Mail Server, put a checkmark on “This server requires Authentication”.

> Apply.

> Advance, under Outgoing Mail (SMTP),

Commute it to 465 not 25. Put a checkmark on “This Server requires a secure connection (SSL)”.

> Under Incoming Mail (POP3) change it to 995 not 110. Put a checkmark on “This server requires a Secure Connection (SSL)”.

> OK.

Hope you got your solution.
