Recently I purchased a Labtec Web Camera 2200 and was very eager to use it. When I tried to install the software for the webcam, I am getting this error “The software you are installing has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify accessibility”. I am not an expert when it comes to computers, so can somebody help me? I do not know what to do.

Dear Leslie,

Microsoft created this so that people may not accidentally installed the driver that is not actually designed or tested by Microsoft for the given device…

In case you encountered this error. I advice that you check you dealer and ask for an updated driver that will support you device. Or you can download it yourself in the support website of your product.

Sometimes there are cases where the drivers are actually fit for the device but microsoft has not been signed it yet. So it's just a matter of hit and miss. You can ignore it and continue installing it using the given driver or you can disable the driver signing to avoid those annoying messages:

To disable the driver signing you should :

Right click on my Computers and Click on the properties to open the properties windows.

Click on the Hardware Tabs.

After that click on Driver Signing Button .

Then select the Ignore Option to disable the driver signing.

Aldo it can be done I am not encouraging you to do this to avoid any unnecessary errors of installing an unsigned drivers…

Cheers,

Veritile Phil
