I have this issue when I updated Power desk pro version 8 on my computer which runs in Windows XP.
I got this error message “windows live updater cannot find an Avanquest document file. C: documentallusersapplicationsavanquest powerdesk…”
I tried fixing it by uninstalling the program then reinstall it.
I still get the error message.
Can someone give me some idea how to repair this?

I think you may have downloaded the installer of PowerDesk Pro from a different web site rather than its official web site. But it seems that you are already using the program and the problem only appeared when you tried updating it to the latest version. This is usually the problem with some application when updating them. There are times that the upgrade file is already missing from the installation folder even from the start that’s why it’s not possible to upgrade it and the user is not aware of it.
Since your current version is already missing a file or some files needed for the upgrade, just manually download the latest version. PowerDesk Pro 8 is an older version. PowerDesk Pro 8.5 is already out and you can download it by visiting http://www.avanquest.com/International/. This version supports Windows XP, Windows Vista 32-bit and 64-bit, and Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit.
