I will guess that there was some problem which occurred during installing the operating system (Windows XP) again. You should keep in mind that while you format your hard disk everything in the computer is cleaned up.

Your computer acts like it is totally new. You need to install the operating system correctly in order to have your computer fully function. I would recommend you to format everything again and install the operating system properly again. Don't forget to install the AGP card driver and Motherboard driver of your computer.

Thank You

Re-installing Windows XP encountered error only if it has missed steps has been done. A common error is a compatibility issue but mostly on hardware and software issue.

When doing a re-format on hard disk, it'll wipe out all saved data on your hard disk. It also wipe out all software driver saved on your hard disk.

So, be ready for the hard disk driver and have this re-install. You'll need to insert the disk driver and run the installation. Follow the installation wizard and once finished, you should be able to run your windows normally.
