Windows 2000/XP was last shut down in hibernation mode. Restart Windows 2000/XP and do a normal shutdown before continuing.

Hi Adam Musick,

You must restart your computer in proper way, the issue occurs because you just put your computer to sleep by pressing sleep button, just press start and select the arrow beside the shutdown button and select restart. Or just shut your computer down completely by selecting shutdown button.

Hi Dear,

it is very simple question to solve. Windows 8 cannot boot itself. So we should run it from the existing windows.

So your previous window was not shut Down properly, or you have hibernated your system before installing the Windows 8. Therefore you have met with this error.

To solve it. Kindly Restart your Computer Normally. And during booting, if any check disk utility work required by Windows kindly do not skip it.

Now try to install your windows 8, it will easy to install it now.
