I need to restore my flash drive by using the patriot formatting program. I have used that software for Patriot XT USB Drive. I would like to know will it work for any other drives. Or it will work just for Patriot and better not to try with others?

Patriot formatting program is a low level format tool that is intended for Patriot USB flash drive only. This software is recommended to be used just once. More uses or even the misuse of it might damage or at worst permanently damage your flash drive. So it is better not to try it with other drives.
That’s right. The Patriot USB low-level format tool is intended only for use on Patriot USB flash drives and should not be used in other brands of USB flash drives because it can damage the storage media. And like what the previous post suggests, this tool should not be used more than once.
Because in normal hard disks, the first time a low-level format or LLF is performed, the disk’s platters start out empty. This is also the last time the platters will be empty for the life of the drive. This low-level format tool should only be used once your Patriot USB flash drive starts popping out errors like when Windows can no longer format the USB flash drive.
