I heard about Real VNC, a remote desktop program to connect to the computer, can I remotely shutdown using vnc?

Yes, you can shut down the remote PC by using VNC.

Once you are connected to the remote PC by using VNC, the remote Desktop will appear in VNC window.

Follow these steps to shut down remote PC.

1. Click on the start button in VNC window.

2. Click shut down.

3. The remote PC will shut down.

You can surely use one such VNC program which would help you remotely shut down your computer.
