Wi-Fi on Epson Wireless Printer

I just bought a new Acer Notebook computer to use with an Epson wireless printer that I bought a few days ago. When I tried setting my laptop to connect to the printer via Bluetooth, I am prompted to enter a code that I was told by the technicians at EPSON it would be in the paperwork or the packaging. I went ahead and tried all the serial codes that I found on the paperwork but none works. I have reached out to the customer care and they baffle me with things such as my computer’s IP address has been compromised with. He then tells me that I would have to pay to have it fixed. Have I been scammed? What is its problem? Is there a way of repairing it without using these ‘customer care’?

Hello. A lot of printers will provide a DVD-ROM with purchase to help set up printer identity and connection. Since you haven't specified the exact printer, I am not sure if a DVD came with the printer. Also, try connecting with an Ethernet cable first to establish a connection between the computer and printer. If either fails, try going to the store where you bought the printer and ask for guidance on finding the code or what you can do.
