Why won’t Microsoft wind install on my PC?

I just purchased a used MSI Wind U100 netbook with 2 GB RAM, 80 GB HDD.  I can't seem to install Windows XP and I'm wondering why Microsoft Wind won't install on my PC.  Am I missing something here?  Need help.  Any feedback would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Hi,

            E Try using a different or another OS on your new laptop or change the CD-ROM or Bootable flash drive that you are using and see what happens. Or maybe you are doing a wrong step in installing the windows XP. Try to follow the steps or the instructions carefuly to install the windows XP properly.
