Hi to mobile manufacturer. It is a lucky chance to get free iPad for 45 age males, such website giving away free iPad is posted on Facebook and I wondered how it is possible. Because no company will have to pay its products free of cost. I have checked it and it seems to be a drama only because they are giving away that iPad which is not released still now. Anybody can give more detailed information about it?

Hello there! These so-called 'Free iPads' that loiter around the internet are just ads or spam that their target is to draw the user's attention. 95% of these free products, or so they say, are fake and are just scams into luring you to get your personal information and let you transfer from one page to another eventually just making you go round and round with no chance of giving those supposed prizes. Some are even more diabolical that when the ad is clicked, it will attack your PC with a virus. In Facebook, when the user clicks a link that is shared, a script will run that will let you share the link to your other friends without your knowledge and they will say that you sent it. So always play safe. Never fall for those free giveaways for being the 1,000,000th visitor! Cheers!

Those free iPads you see posted on Facebook are not all spam. The offers sometimes are posted on specific pages and not by an individual user. These offers are very common when the holidays are nearing like the Christmas season. Sometimes I see iPhones being given away as promotion. It is hard to tell if the devices they offer are legit.

One way to verify if they are legit is join or participate in the promotional campaign. They usually require users to do several things to get in the contest like adding your friends to join the campaign, posting or sharing the promotion in other pages as well as in your own wall, and so on.

If you verify the campaign is all spam, you can report it to Facebook personally to have them check.
