Hi,

When to run Microsoft Office 2010 installation, in to the process an installation error with the option retry is displayed.

And when I try to an application streaming profile of Microsoft Office 2010 for Windows XP machines, the following installation error message is displayed.

What should I supposed to do?

Error message:

Service 'Office Software Protection Platform' (osppsvc) failed to start.

Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.

Halo James,

You will need to follow the workaround below to resolve that issue:

  • You will need to open Run, or just press Windows key + R on your keyboard.
  • After that you will need to type services.msc and then click on OK.
  • Go to the services MMC window and then right click on the Office Software Protection Platform.
  • Select Properties.
  • Next, you will need to select the LOG ON tab, and then change the ‘Log on as’ information from ‘This Account’. Change it to ‘Local System Account’.
  • After that click on apply and then OK.

Regards,

Carl
