Why is my Wireless Connection always asking for password?

I really don't know what has gone wrong with my wireless connection. I don't even know if it is the problem with my router or Android. My wireless connection is asking for password even though I have removed it using 192.168.1.x. What should I do so that I will not be prompted to enter password(I don't have any password)?

Hello,

This is the issue of your Android. In new Android releases, the Wi-Fi option doesn’t remember the history of any Wi-Fi connection’s information and so asks for password.

First of all, turn off your router for a while and then, start it again.

Next, it’s time to tune up your phone’s configuration.

1. From the Home screen, go to Apps >> Settings >> Wi-Fi.

2. Tap your Wi-Fi connection >> select “Forget”.

3. Find out and connect to your Wi-Fi once again.

If not fixed,

1. From the Home screen, go to Apps >> Settings >> Wi-Fi >> Advanced.

2. Tick “Auto Connect”.

Now, your problem must be disappeared.

Happy to support you!

  • It may be that the network manager asks for a wireless connection password because the connection is not set as “available to all users”.
  • Also remove any duplicate connection configurations for the particular WiFi connectivity.
  • Even you can try rebooting the router and check
  • Delete the WiFi connection from the Network Connection list
