Louie,

If the card is well connected, the fan in it should be spinning.

Maybe the problem is that the video control is not in automatic at the BIOS and you  need to configure it.

You have to go to the BIOS, restart the computer, depending on the brand or model, maybe you need to press ESC key, or F2 key, or DEL key. When your computer starts look the message and there is one that maybe says press "" key to enter in the BIOS.

Once in BIOS you should go to the hardware part and check the one related to the video slots or adapter. Enable the slot or set it up on automatic. Save the BIOS configuration and restart.

If the new video card driver is well installed, now you must have it running fine.

You did not mention about your system. If it is Asus, the most recent version will work.

  • In the BIOS setup, make sure you configure the card for using the PCIe slot as graphics.
  • Go to the device manager and disable the previous graphics card and following the same steps enable Nvidia graphics card.

Hi, there might be some problem with the graphics card if its new please check that your card is correctly inserted and if it does than remove it one more time and again insert it but before doing so check for the dust there should not be dust in the card slot and the card should also be dust free then chack if the PC detects your card or not.In most situations this will work if even this does not work then let a PC repairs person look for the problem.
