The configuration of my PC is Ram-1GB, Hardisk-80GB,Graphics Card – 128mb(Build In), Processor-Celeron D, Windows-7. Am a graphics Designers. So I have to work with Adobe Illustrator CS3.
But when I give 3D effect or "Graphics" then sometimes my PC hangs for few minutes. What will I do now.
Your graphics editing program is in two versions: Adobe Photoshop CS and Adobe Photoshop Extended, with the Extended having more features and, if it’s the one you use that may be the cause of the ‘hanging’.
Also, check the computer for viruses that may be frustrating the memory page size; run the latest antivirus software and quarantine all viral threats.
Majorly, the cause of hanging is insufficient memory page size or virtual memory. Virtual memory is extra memory created in disk drives, therefore check your primary drive for and delete old files or seek alternative storage for your crucial data.
Your computer behaves that way because of the amount of RAM you have on your system.
You only have 1 GB of RAM and using graphics on it will surely consume almost all of it and your system will only rely on the page file which will really make your computing very slowly.
Adding more RAM on your system will help improve your computer’s overall performance and the system lagging that you oftentimes experience will decrease if not eliminated.
You may also try installing PC Tools Performance Toolkit on your computer. This is a great application for improving the system’s performance.
You can use this to clean your registry for any application leftovers, clean your computer for temporary files, cookies, empty the recycle bin, empty the browser history, empty the page cache, defrag or optimize the registry, optimize your hard drive including the boot files and you can also enable the real time defrag.
