I have a computer with 512 MB RAM.I was not using my computer for two weeks. So I opened my CPU and cleaned it up. When I turned on my computer my monitor was not working.

Why was that so?

There are many reasons due to which you monitor is not working. I will tell you some way through which you can check your monitor that why it is not working. First you have to check the power cable of your minter whether it is working or not.

If it is working then check that supply to your monitor circuit is ok. These tests are required because when you not use your old system specially monitor it has an expiry date after that it expire and the device that are used in its circuit are not working properly.

That's why you have to check your circuit of a monitor.

Thanks.

We are getting no signal error on the screen?

Make the connections secured at the back of your monitor and CPU. If the connection is secured then its on how the CPU relays signals to the monitor. Since you opened your CPU, it is possible that you might have accidentally touched on the video card/display adapter causing it to loosen up, this video card/display adapter is responsible for creating electronic signals needed by the monitor.

If you are familiar with the components of your CPU you can try opening it again and look for the video card, it would look like this:

This is inserted into a slot in the motherboard vertically. Push it just a bit to make it tight. If this will not help, then you can bring your PC to a nearest Computer shop for them to check if its an adapter issue or a monitor issue.
