Your laptop can’t be shutdown can be caused by several applications and services that still running in the background that can cause software conflicts.  As a solution you can perform a clean boot as below:

1. Log on to your laptop as administrator

2. Click Start Icon, in the Search and Program files field type msconfig, press enter and System Configuration display will appear.

3. Choose the General tab, click the Selective startup option, and then click to unchecked the Load startup items check box.

The system has several applications and services which are running. These will not be visualized, but often make software conflicts. Solve the ongoing background process following the instruction;

  • Settings > Change PC Settings > General > Advanced startup > Safe mode.

The instruction in safe mode, your system will shut down normally.
