I heard that Meebo services will be stopped very soon. What is the reason behind Meebo shutting down?
Why is Meebo shutting down?
This is barely after Google acquired the sharing service Meebo. This has apparently led to the company’s shutdown next month on July 11th. Meebo announced that it will be suspending its services as the team behind the product is folded on new projects on Google+ project. Meebo messenger and All Meebo Mobile apps will no longer be operational after the company shuts down on July 11th 2012. That includes the Android app that has been downloaded 1 to 5 million times from Google play and has never been updated since November 2009. In the meantime, you can still be able to download chat logs, sharing history and so on. Meebo however does confirm that its bar product will continue to be available and receive support for the next couple of months

All Meebo mobile apps and Meebo messenger will no longer be providing services after the company shuts down on July 11, 2012. the reason is-
Google has acquired the sharing and instant messaging service Meebo, and that is making the company shutdown next month. On 9th of this month Meebo announced that it is going to suspend services as the squad behind the product is folded into fresh assignments on the Google plus project and to beef up its social offerings and may be we are going to see some of Meebo’s aspects show up in Google inventions eventually. So present Meebo users are in for some bigger transformations.
