I Downloaded iTunes application and there after it doesn’t work
Does it mean that they are incompatible?

It really depends on the operating system you are using. But since you are using Windows 7, I’m sure this is not a compatibility issue. If this is the first time that this happens, try restarting your computer then try it again. Restart iTunes after booting then see what happens. If it’s still the same there is probably something wrong with its installation. Try doing another clean installation on the software. Before uninstalling the application, make sure you still have its installer. If not, you can download the latest version, iTunes 10.7, from Apple | iTunes | Download iTunes.
Uninstall iTunes then restart your machine when asked. After booting, check your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system. For a much thorough diagnostic test on your computer, use disk utility applications like PC Tools Performance Toolkit, or Norton Utilities. Install iTunes again then see if this fixes the problem. This version works with Windows XP Service Pack 2 and later, Windows Vista, and Windows 7.
