Hi,

Hamachi is a good VPN application to deploy private network. I used it almost 3 months ago but now I am facing problem. As I try to connect with server, Hamachi error list generic is displayed which warns Hamachi server has rejected your login request. I have reinstalled it and also deleted registry values but same problem. I am using window 7. Please guide me how to proceed.

Why HaMachi error list generic is displaying as I connect to Server?

Greetings Stewartyimothy,

There could be a number of reasons why this happens and I'm going to try to eliminate some.

1. Hamachi server being down. I've used Hamachi several months ago and from time to time I couldn't connect to it. It happened that the Hamachi servers were shut down for some reason but that problem is on their side. So just give it some time and try again later or tomorrow. (Maybe it's been resolved even when I'm writing this).

2. Did you install some antivirus or firewall in the meantime? Usually any sort of firewall or antivirus takes good care of VPN networks especially Hamachi. Make sure if you have a firewall to give it a security check or just disable it and try to connect.

3. Try installing the newest version of Hamachi (if you haven't done it already). The latest version can be found here

I hope this helps,

Hi Stewartyimothy,

Just to add to the above given solution on how Hamachi works for a friend of mine. He apparently faces the same problem. But using the below given process he has removed the error. Try it in your case, it might work for you as well.

Step 1: Kill the process named "hamachi-2.exe"

Step 2: Disable the Hamachi network adapter

Step 3: Enable the Hamachi network adapter

Step 4: Go to the control panel and start the service "LogMeIn Hamachi 2.0 Tunneling engine"

Step 5: Start the Hamachi client

Thanks & Regards,

DBD
