Why firefox is not downloading any files?help

Hi guys, I have a problem with my firefox browser previously I used Google Chrome but thought to give it a try initially it worked well but not smooth as Google chrome it is the best browser.So coming back to firefox problem is that it is not downloading any files or web pages why so???Please help me I don't know what is wrong with it I'm using this browser first time please help.

Hi there, 

Please first check all the settings in firefox tools then check for the plug ins installed in your download manager also clean the temporary files I mean delete all the temporary files and history. But if it does not work even then try un installing and then re installing the fire fox browser hope it will help you.
