Why is Microsoft Excel always corrupting my XML file? My work required that I import a lot of XML files to Microsoft Excel for analysis, after the successful mapping of the XML file using excel, but when I tried to import the file, I got the message that the file is corrupt. When I check the XML file using XML editor, the files seem to the okay. What can I do to import this file to excel without it being corrupted?

First of all, Make sure that the XML file has no syntax or any other error. File corruption error comes when you select more than one data file for importing to excel and it doesn’t find any matching XML map for any of the file. This means that for each and every XML data file there has to be matching XML map. An appropriate schema should be available for importing XML data file to excel. Before you start importing data file, Import an appropriate Schema first for all the required data files and then go for importing more than one XML data files.
