My computer is not playing MP3 Audio files any more. I think it happened after I installed Vista SP1. When I double click on the MP3 Audio file, nothing happens. I have Audio playing programs like Windows Media Player and VLC. Where did the problem come from?

Do you have Flash Player on your Windows Vista machine? If not install the same.

Also see if Java is installed.

If the above said things don’t work, try this:

1) Go to Control Panel and then double click -Default programs.

2) Click on Associate a file type or protocol with a program and then you need to do is Double click the file type under the 'Name' you say mp3. (Although it is already set to something else, select again).

3) Now the list of Recommended Programs appears. Choose the one you want say Windows Media Player.
