Why does iOS 6 for iPhone 3GS doesn’t have Siri?

I know that iPhones 3GS never had Siri since the iOS 5 update. But I'm just really frustrated that with this new iOS 6 update, Siri is still not included in the list that will support my iPhones 3GS. Is it because my iPhones 3GS is 3 years old now?

So is it time for me to upgrade to an iPhone 4S (or above) or install any software on my iPhones 3GS and see if I can install Siri on it?

I've heard that Siri is really not an essential app for most people who already has it, but I still want to feel the "Siri experience" so I can definitely call my phone a "smartphone" due to Siri's unique assistance features.

Dear Reign,

Unfortunately, you might have to upgrade to a newer iDevice as Apple has no plan whatsoever to incorporate Siri on old iDevices. You can however try Spite 3.0 which is compatible with the previous iOS 5.1.1 (Hope you didn't upgrade your iPhone to iOS6 yet). However, Spite 3.0 is not free as it cost $5.00.

Hello Reign_angela,

To answer all your questions in one words I would say, yes, IPhone 3GS is an old device now and you need to upgrade. However I did some research and if you don't want to spend money then I would suggest you some applications that are similar to Siri.

– Firstly, your IPhone 3GS comes with a built-in Voice Recognition functionality.
