Hi,

I'm sure you are not using a registered and updated version of Symantec Antivirus. That's why it couldn't catch the Virus and Quarantine or Clean it.

1. Please uninstall the antivirus.

2. If it doesn't disappear from task bar anyway, the open control panel and select Administrative templates, go to services and look for the Service shell for the Symantec Antivirus there. From status, select STOP.

3. Now install a good Anti Virus, I recommend to use a registered one, and scan your whole Hard Drive after getting it updated.

Regards,

Matti

Hi Andrew Leo,

The Symantec anti-virus that you have been using might be unregistered version or a trial version. In this version, some features are disabled. That is the reason why it only detects a virus and it could not quarantine nor delete it. To ensure that your PC is thoroughly, uninstall your anti-virus and then install the registered version. Then, scan your computer again and check if your problem is solved.

Hi there user,

When did you install your antivirus?

As well updated?

I think while the installation is in progress, you did check the box, which you opt the automatic check control.

That's the thing why it always appears on your screen.

Just click the options on your antivirus and then uncheck the box. Several boxes like automatic – updates, allow – advertising site, etc.

Uncheck everything you think would interrupt you while working or surfing.
