I uninstall AVG antivirus, to change it into Kaspersky. But when I already finished installing Kaspersky and rebooting the PC, the AVG antivirus was still there. But when I go to Programs and Features to uninstall the AVG again I can't no longer found the Avg.

How can I completely uninstall it?

Hello there, in order to completely remove AVG antivirus with all the programs and files on your computer you need the official AVG Remover Utility its a free program that you can download on the official AVG website.

By using this free program it will remove all the AVG settings, content, virus vault , registry items and all the other files on your computer.

Our first step is to go the AVG website and download the necessary program, you should be on the AVG Download Tools Webpage and you can choose to download the 64 bit or 32 bit of AVG Remover it all depends on what kinds of AVG is installed on your computer operating systems

.After you finish downloading it, just double click on the downloaded.exe file to start the program, just follow the instructions then click yes. After that just let the program runs and restart your computer when you ask to reboot your system, it will automatically remove all your AVG programs that are running on your computer.

Hello Leonardo,

Sometimes when you uninstall an application from the control panel, it does not get removed from your computer. There are files of it that still remain and you will need to remove them as follows:

  • On your computer, you will click on start, and then click on the computer.
  • After that look for the C: drive and click on it.
  • When it opens, locate the Program Files folder and click on it.
  • In the program files folder, look for the AVG antivirus folder.
  • You will need to delete it will all its contents.
  • If have CCleaner, you will need to run it to remove any files related to it completely.
  • After that you can go ahead and install Kaspersky.

Regards,

Carl
