The Fire Phone was launched by Amazon in the month of July initially at $649. Later in the month of September the price was cut down again from $649 to $ 449. Now it slashed again to $199 for this 32 gigabyte version unlocked without any contract. Why is Amazon slashing the price of Fire Phone again and again?
Hi Derrick E Clayton, The fire phone launched in July by Amazon and then its price was $649. But since then Amazon always cut down its price to increase its sale. First its sale go on $449 and now even reduces to $199. Its also coming out with 1 year of Amazon premium which is worth of $99. The biggest reason behind cutting down the price is the fire phone is biggest flop for Amazon since it was launched in July. Now at end of the third quarter, Amazon have approximately $83 million worth of fire phone. To sell these flop phones they are offering high discounts and try to attract customers.
