Hi there,

First of all, make sure you're meeting the minimum system requirements as this can be the main cause of the problem.

There is also a known issue with the version you are using and corrupted databases. Sometimes after reinstalling something goes wrong and the database has to be manually deleted. Your database should be located in: Documents and Settingsyour usernameLocal SettingsApplication DataACD SystemsCatalogs120Default.

If deleting and restoring database doesn't help, there may be a conflict between the ACDSee and some other software causing the crashes, but more details about your problem are needed to solve that.

Try to completely remove it with Revo Uninstaller then install it back. Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install it. Once installed, start Revo then select ACDsee among the applications and click “Uninstall”. Follow the normal uninstall process. When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and delete everything it finds.

This removes everything the program created on your computer. When it is finished, exit Revo then install ACDsee back. If this doesn’t work, run the program in compatibility mode. Right-click ACDsee and select “Properties”. In the “Properties” window, go to “Compatibility” tab then under “Compatibility mode” section on top, check “Run this program in compatibility mode for” then select an operating system from the dropdown list.

If you don’t know which operating system to select, just do an experiment and select any platform. When you are finished, click “OK” then start the program. If this doesn’t work, select a different operating system. Try also to run the program as admin. Right-click ACDsee and select “Run as administrator”.
