The Whole New Samsung Galaxy S III
Whenever a new model is released, we usually ask " How and why is this new one better than its previous model?"For Samsung Galaxy S3 and S2, there is a major difference though. The new Galaxy S phone doesn't earn the nickname "iPhone killer " for nothing. They are worlds apart, however, many agreed S3's effect is much more like the Samsung Galaxy Nexus-rounded edges, HD screen but with a more minimal bezel to accentuate the larger screen.
Anyways, let's compare the S2 and S3 with these several important factors and highlight why the new S series phone is the best Smartphone in today's market yet.
Display size and features
Power and Battery
S3 phone has a pebble-shaped polycarbonate plastic case which fits very lightweight (about 133g) though without the feeling of a cheap phone.
Comparing the display, the Galaxy S2 has a 4.3 inch with a 800 x 480 pixels resolution, Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touchscreen and 217 per pixel density. The new S3 sports a huge 4.8 inch HD with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution, Super AMOLED Plus capacitive with TouchWiz Screen and 319 per pixel density. Both do have Gorilla Glass protection, but S3 has undoubtedly an impressive display showcase crisp images, videos and easy to read text.
Thanks to Samsung's own 1.4GHz Exynos processor, it is on par with if not better than its speedy rivals. The performance is super slick and without lag, even when running multiple apps.
Galaxy S3 has an impressive score of 11,884 on Antutu benchmarking app. With such power often comes a poor battery life. However, we found that the S3 huge 2100mAh battery copped well throughout. Even when set to the extreme level of battery draining, it managed to last 6 hours beating Galaxy S2 and HTC One X.
Everyone is excited with S3 for it also runs the latest Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. This comes to skin with Samsung's "Nature" TouchWiz overlay. Then it comes with 7 home screens, giving you plenty of space for widgets. Another favorite feature is its ripple effect lock screen, which makes it seem you're dragging your finger across the water. Voice recognition is not as intelligent but does have the advantage of local UK directions.
Its 8MP camera produces full detailed and natural colored photos whether taken in sunlight or dim light and is capable of recording HD 1080p video too.
Galaxy S2 has internal memory configurations of either 16 or 32GB and can have an external MicroSD card that expands to 32GB. Galaxy S3 offers 64GB storage then we can expand it up to another 64GB! Making it an advantage and beneficial for those that love a spot of media.
