Let me start by saying this are both great video cards. But I would go with the ASUSEAH 6870 DC/2DI2S/1GD5. I believe that is higher chipset value and number and this is given by the 6870 number, it also has the Core frequency higher, at 915 MHz, not 900 MHz The only downside that I see is that it’s a little bit expensive than the other video card. Both video cards can be overclocked if you really want, but I don’t think it’s necessary. This is the direct competitions of the NVidia GeForce GTX 560 series, but I’m a big fan on ATI, so for me the best.

The new ASUS HD6870 DirectCU graphics accelerator comes with special Super Alloy Power fine-metal mechanisms containing chokes, MOSFETs, and capacitors. It will boost performance using top-quality metal components and an all-copper cooling system. It is factory overclocked to work at 915 MHz speed which is higher than stock performance and will result in higher frame rates when running games.

It is accurately mounted with DirectCU copper heat pipes that are directly in contact with the GPU to rapidly dispel heat. This way it produces 20 percent cooler and will have a quiet performance when the computer is idle. It features full throttle overclocking with exclusive ASUS Voltage Tweak using Smart Doctor. It boosts performance up to 50 percent more speed.

The ASUS GTX 560 DirectCU video card is also equipped with DirectCU copper heat pipes that are also in direct contact with the GPU to disperse heat more rapidly giving 20 percent cooler performance. It also uses Super Alloy Power technology that utilizes special alloy formula in serious power delivery mechanisms to deliver a 15 percent performance boost with 35 degrees Celsius cooler operation and extends lifespan up to 2.5 times longer.

The ASUS HD6870 DirectCU graphics accelerator is powered by AMD Radeon HD 6870 with AMD HD3D Technology and AMD CrossFireX Technology. The ASUS GTX 560 DirectCU graphics accelerator is powered by NVIDIA GeForce GTX560 with NVIDIA SLI for multi-GPU technology support, NVIDIA 3D Vision, NVIDIA CUDA, and NVIDIA PhysX.
