I am a new Ubuntu Server user coming from Windows.
Right now I'm just running ssh on port 22 and http on port 80 in order to run a web app, for security issues, because I've been told to do that.
Anyway, that seems to me a bit like a paranoid security measure. Sometimes I find quite difficult to use my server.
Would you please recommend a good security application that allows me to run some public Internet services other than ssh and Apache or Nginx or whatever?
Which services are recommended to run on a dedicated Ubuntu Server?
You are already running best security operator know as Linux. So you do not need any but if you insist that you want to have an Internet security application.
Please install the Clamay software below is the procedure and where you will find him.
You can find Clamav in Ubuntu Software Center and then the GUI front-end for it, it is clamtk found in the Ubuntu Software Center.
