I am a student which is using a Windows, I have to write essays and use a lot of words. Is a Mac right for me to use or should I stay with the Windows? And what is the difference between Home and Student Office 2011 and Home Office 2011 in Business?

I understand that you are still a student and I know you will be doing a lot of projects and stuffs using your computer. However, I strongly recommend Mac for students like you. There are a lot of advantages and disadvantages when you will be using a Mac computer.
Here are the advantages if you will be using a Mac computer:
-Office for Mac applications lunch faster than the Windows OS due to the structure of Mac OS.
-Mac OS have less system issue compared to Windows OS. Mac OS is very stable.
-Mac OS has better security when it comes to virus and malware.
-Mac OS lasts longer compared to Windows computers
The only disadvantage of Mac:
-Mac is way more expensive compared to a Windows computer.
Regarding the Microsoft Office for Home and Student 2011 and Microsoft Office for Home and Business 2011, they differ on the applications, licenses, and the use. Home and Student 2011 have Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. It can be used in a single computer up to maximum of 3 computers. Microsoft Office for Home and Student can only be used on homes and for students.
Microsoft Office for Home and Business 2011 on the other hand has Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. It can be used home based works, and small businesses. It can be installed on a single computer maximum of 3.
