I am planning to build a new PC and I asked my friends which processor to get. Some of them suggest Intel and some of them AMD. Now I’m confused which processor to get. Which one do you think is better and why?

Intel and AMD are two competitors in the market. Every has there own views about both. As you have mentioned above that some says Intel is best while other says AMD is best.
If you want to know my opinion then I would like to recommend you to use AMD. The reason to use AMD is its technology. AMD processors work very fast. Even AMD graphics cards have better results than Intel.
AMD is the first one which is going to introduce the GPU technology.
So I will prefer ADM on Intel. I hope that you understand.

Building a PC depends on what you want from your computer. For example if you want your computer to do multi-tasking or running too many applications at a time, it is advisable to use an INTEL processor because it is designed to have a multi-tasking capability.
But if you want to play extreme High Quality 3D Games, it is advisable to use an AMD processor because it is designed for gaming and a bit of multi-tasking. It also generates less heat than Intel processors.
