Hi there Larry G Coleman,

CentOS is a very popular operating system designed for production environments. That means, regular PC users will have no use of it, but it is an awesome server OS and great alternative to other commercial server distributions. It is very stable and fast system, very well secured and most important – free.

You can download it from the CentOS official webpage: https://www.centos.org/.

Since this is not just a regular Linux, one PDF will hardly be enough for you to go through all the features, options and everything. I would recommend you to visit the CentOS Wiki page. It contains all the documentation, explanations and tutorials that will give you the best insight to the CentOS you could possibly get.

Best regards,
