I have installed Linux OS on my Lenovo laptop with dual boot along with Windows 7. My web cam runs perfectly in Windows 7, but can’t find drivers for Linux. Does anybody know where to find drivers webcam Lenovo Linux OS? Any kind of help would be appreciated.

Hi,

I found this Lenovo support website which contains all the drivers you need.
http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/default.page?
Go to accessories and find the right driver for your camera. Should be a simple search and download, a fast solution to this problem that we have.
Feel free to contact me even further if additional help is needed.

regards,

Hi there,

You may find the drivers for Lenovo on http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/detail.page?LegacyDocID=MIGR-48NT8D

There you will need to select the right model of your laptop. You may also try to install the latest Linux kernel for your distro. The latest Linux kernels usually do have drivers for most of the hardware components. You may check this by rebooting the machine and doing a hardware test. You may test with Linux Mint and install their new DE called Cinnamon.

Hope this helps.
