Where can i find how to use image mount in acronis?

Hi Alisa! I have instructions here on how to mount images in Acronis, but it is not for installation. I still hope this will help you.

For Mounting an Image:

• Open Acronis and go to “Tools and Utilities.”
• Choose the archive you want to Mount.

If you choose a backup containing incremental images, you might as well choose the one with the successive incremental image, also known as “backup versions” through the date/time created.

If your backup has a password, Acronis True Image Home 2011 will ask for your password.

To mount incremental images successfully, you must have all previous backup versions and the initial full backup. Otherwise, it will not be possible.

• Choose the partition to be mounted as a “virtual disk.” You can assign letters to the virtual disk from the “Mount letter” drop-down list. If there are partitions you do not want to mount, just select “Do not mount” in the “Mount letter field or you can also clear the partition’s check box.

The image mounted will be in “Read-Only” mode as set by default. If you want to set it in “Read-Write” mode, just check the option in Wizard. When you Unmount a “Read-Write” image, there will be a new incremental backup created with changes made to the mounted image.

• Then click “Proceed.”

The program will then run Windows Explorer after the image is connected, showing its contents.

To Unmount an image:

Click “Unmount Image” on the “Tools and Utilities” screen.

Select the disk you want to unmount and click “OK.”
