The version you are using, EndNote X2, is very old. The latest version is EndNote X7.4. To update to this version, you can do it in 2 ways: automatic update or manual update. Any of the 2 methods require that you already have EndNote X7 installed. If you don’t have it, visit EndNote X7 Free 30-day Trial and download a copy.
Once downloaded, install it on your computer. To do the automatic update on EndNote X7, follow these. Exit any programs that are currently running. Start EndNote then click on the EndNote X7 menu. Select “Check for Updates” then just follow the succeeding instructions. Once the update is finished, click on the EndNote X7 menu again and then go to “Check for Updates”.
This is to check if there are still available updates to install. If you want to install the update manually, here’s how to do it. First, check the current version of EndNote that you are using.
