My Adobe Acrobat just stopped working with no apparent reason. I'm having a message of "Core dll failed to load". What does this mean and where can I download Acrobat fix core dll? I'm on Windows Vista 64 bit.

Core DLL contains all the important functions of the application’s core library. The error may occur if the Adobe Acrobat is not installed correctly or if its files are corrupted.
1. You can try to download a new copy of Adobe Reader. When installing this application you should have Adobe Reader 10.0 installed on your system. You can check the version you have by Help > Adobe Reader.
If you have this version, download and install the incremental patch. After downloading the MSP update file, double-click the file to begin the update and then once it’s updated you can start the installation by browsing the file downloaded to the location and double-click it. Wait for the process to finish and click Next > Repair > Install and then Finish when done.
2. You can also uninstall the Adobe Acrobat to your PC and reinstall it by using an installation CD or downloading it from the Adobe web site. Choose ‘Edit’ then ‘Preferences’. And go to the ‘Internet’ options then clear the ‘Display PDF in browser’ check box and then OK to accept changes.

The Core DLL from the applications contains all the essential functions for the Adobe Acrobat to work. If the application’s core library does not work anymore, your application can no longer run since the components of it depends on the Core DLL.
The easiest way to way to correct this would be to just uninstall and re-install the Acrobat. In this way, all of the dll files will reinstall.
Another way is to repair it. Here are the steps to repair your Adobe Acrobat.
1. Go to the Adobe reader download page.
2. Indicate where to save your installer and wait for the download to finish.
3. Browse to the location where you downloaded the file and double-click the file. Wait for the installer to finish processing the installation.
