Hi Experts,

I installed Microsoft Office 2013. But now whenever I try to start Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 I received an error message.

It says

The procedure entry point_Atomic_fetch_sub_4 could not be located in the dynamic link library D:Program Files (x86)Microsoft Visual Studio 11.0Common7IDEdevenv.exe” I cannot fix the problem.

Please help me.

Hi,

To solve the error, Microsoft has provided a fix which can be downloaded for free. To download and install the fix follow the steps below:

1. Go to http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30178 and click on the download button.

2. Save the setup file to the desktop and then run it. The add-in manager will be empty as the picture below, before you install the fix.

3. After you install the fix, save the fix in the Program Files folder. Locate the Visual Studio folder and go to the system files folder. Paste this fix in the system files folder and exit the folder.

This should solve your problem.
