When will Microsoft Windows RT be on the rampage?

Windows RT or Windows Runtime is said to be the fresh operating system for tablets and any handheld gadgets. It has amazing features, more like exceptional because it can compete with today’s Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android operating systems for tablets.

Experts said that this Windows RT, once released, will be a great opponent or competitor of both Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android in the tablet market.

However, Windows RT won’t be out in the market directly for the consumers. It will only be licensed on the product makers to be their operating system and will cost around $85.

So expect that this Operating system will be loaded up with gadgets/ applications.

The letters “RT” in Windows RT stands for “Runtime.” This version of Microsoft Windows is one version of the Windows 8 operating system aimed for mobile devices specifically tablet PCs. Windows RT should not be confused with the Windows Runtime library, WinRT, which provides system services for Metro apps. Windows RT was originally called Windows WOA or Windows on ARM since it is designed to run on ARM processors.

The operating system has been likened to a tablet version of the Windows Phone mobile operating system since it features the same tile-based user interface. Windows RT will come pre-installed on hardware and not as a standalone product.

The initial installations of Windows RT will be on the lower-end version of Microsoft Surface tablet while the higher-end version of the device will run on the full implementation of Microsoft Windows 8.
