Hi, Â I am trying to update firmware 3.50 but getting error as 8002F147 while 20% of installation was completed because I am trying to fix my SP3. Formatting the disk several times, I tried to install an older version of the software as well as with the update 3.56 version.
Please let me know, if anybody knows how to fix the problem. I am passing 2months already without my sp3. Anyone’s help will be highly appreciated.

Hello Damon,
Follow the steps below and see if they will help resolve the issue that you are getting right now:

First you will need to take out the hard drive.

And then you will connect hard drive to a PC that has Windows OS.

Next you will open up disk management.

And then format in NTSF. Do not use quick format

After that get the ROM of the version you had before you upgraded.

And then copy that ROM to a USB drive in folders PS3.

After that shut down the PC, and then take out the HD and the USB drive too.

And then put the HD back in ps3, put usb stick in PS3.
-
And then boot PS3.
-
A screen will pop up on which you will press select + start.

Another screen will pop up. Press select + start.

And then configure your PS3 setup.
