Hello Everybody,

My system is connected to the LAN internet. I sue windows live messenger to chat and share the docs and screen shots. When trying to conference, it is asking for Vapps conference software. I have no idea about this software.

Can anybody explain me about this tool and the version which I need to install to make conference?

Thanks in advance.

Dear Judy Plum,

“Vapps” is stands for virtual applications. It provides a secure access to licensed software applications from anywhere you have an internet connection. By using virtual applications you have access software applications but you don’t need to install on your local hard drive. These applications reside on a server and are accessed by logging into the Virtual Applications website using your username and password.

Thank You.

Hellow Judy Plum,

It will be better if the operating system you used is known. However, I am telling about Vapps.

Vapps stands for Video Application .vCenter Operations Manager is an vApplication used to monitor and manage the health, capacity, and performance of your virtual environment.

Download and deploy the vCenter Operations Manager vApp through the vSphere Client.

VMware distributes the vApp as a .ova file. Then you will have to confirm somthings.

  • Verify that you have permissions to deploy OVF templates to the inventory.
  •  Do not deploy vCenter Operations from an ESX host. Deploy only from vCenter Server.
  •  If the ESX host is part of a cluster, enable DRS in the cluster. If an ESX host belongs to a non-DRS cluster, all resource pool functionality is disabled.
  • Verify that the virtual machine network that you connect this vApp to has an IP pool and select that network during the .ova deployment.
  • Download the vCenter Operations Manager .ova file to a location that is accessible to the vSphere Client.
  • If you download the vApp and the file extension is .tar, change the file extension to .ova.
  •  Verify that you are connected to a vCenter Server system with the vSphere Client.
  • Do not select the transient IP allocation scheme during the deployment wizard.
  • vCenter Operations Manager supports only fixed and DHCP IP allocation.

Thanking You
