When I enter CD in DVD writer to setup windows, it does not setup. The computer start automatically with previous version.

What is the problem?

Hello Subrato,

It is a problem in your boot menu. Check out your boot menu and see what is given as your first choice.

This problem causes when the first choice is the hard drive.

Then whenever you try to set up your windows, it will re-open the previous version. You have to change your first choice.

Make this CD ROM now.

Then a new set up will be done.

Hello Subrato,

The problem is your case is improper selection of boot devices, when we start our system the BIOS start to process the sequence from the drive which is selected as a 1st priority boot device in your case it is the hard drive, so the existing windows starts automatically.

To change the Boot Device priority you need to Press DEL key at to enter BIOS Setup.

Then from the BOOT menu you can select your DVD writer as First Booth Device.

Make Sure after installing windows you again change it to your hard drive.

You can resolve your problem by following the instructions:

1. First of all you have to go to Bios setting of your computer.
2. Make enable booting from CD/DVD Rom.
3. Select the first priority to “Boot from Optical Drive” in order to install windows from a disk.
4. Save Bios setting and Restart your system.
 
When your system will be restarted it will ask to press any key to boot from CD within 5 seconds. Then hit any key. It will start the windows setup program.
 
Follow the instructions and answered the questions asked by Windows installation setup.
