When disable network why sometime tcp state remain established?

I test a networking application, I realize that I after the network card, disable, if disable the LAN , I still see the state of TCP still posts for a while and then offline . I wonder why the state of TCP to close immediately after the network has been disabled ?

Hello Noel S Garrick,   In normal scenarios if you disable the LAN and there is no way of access the TCP should be offline soon. But some time  it poses for a minute and then shows offline status because f delay in package delivering. I think in your network some packages reaches to you with delayed timestamp. You can use the PING command to check that weather the issue is same.
