What are the first steps to set up a DNS server and Active Directory domain? Will I be able to name the zone “name.org” and then the AD domain “name.org” after installing the DNS service?

Hallo Jilly,

The very first step it to have site set up that you will want to host. With the .org extension then it means that you will have to host your site using a premium account that will require you to be paying some monthly or annual fees depending on the service provider that you are using.

But you can choose to use the free hosts for the time being if your site is still at the testing stage, so that you can upgrade it to a premium account when it is fully functional. For the free hosts. you will just to create an account with any of your choice and then you will upload your pages and database to that remote host by using an application filezilla ftp client which you can download for free from the internet.
