What’s the default settings for Message Class in Outlook

Hallo Armenian Johnson,

A form is assigned a message class whenever you create and publish a custom form in outlook, and it is the message class that will determine the kind of form that will be associated with an item.

The default format of the message class is something like IPM.FormType.FormName, whereby the FormType represents the kind of form that is being used and the FormName represents the name of the custom form.

For instance, in case you create an email message whose form named is updated, then it means that the message class of the form when published will be something like IPM.Note.updated.

You can have a look at various default names as they are used for message classes here:

Hope this helps.
